w/ the pickups, smith the alien, at the wunderbar , nov 25th 2006 fun fun fun show at the wunderbar with cam’s new band smith the alien opening up. pretty straight rock numbers with a little bit of noisy feedbacking and sonic moments. i reckon the pickups had just about their best ever show, playing a short set and spiking it with some frantic guitar-runs, noisy moments and even william abandoning the guitar to straddle the microphone stand… libra accord were just excellent, real cool quirky pop with some cool keyboards, a speedy devo cover (freedom of choice) and generally pretty cool upbeat songs. their singles are real good too, i reckon these guys should come south way more often – the crowd really dug them too. see more photos from this show at flickr
