FLASHBACK to February 2022 — Red Panda Prom, a school-themed live music event held at Unlimited Paenga Taonga (the former Unlimited Paenga Tawhiti high school building) in Ōtautahi Christchurch. Organised by the Red Panda crew — who have a long history of putting on all-ages shows in the city — the night brought together an eclectic lineup: Bang! Bang! Eche! headlined with their characteristic high-energy electro-pop, preceded by Sandfly Bay, the ever-buoyant Jimmy Zoom, and Beytown Grifters, plus a hastily but lovingly assembled Red Panda Prom Band for the occasion. The dress code was prom-formal, the crowd was enthusiastic, and there were a lot of photos taken — here is a selection of the candid and band shots from the night, captured by Fran and Nick Robinson.
