Biography
kinda bland ‘alterna-rock’ band, featuring sean sturm, mike scott, mark pollard and luke casey – they were originally known as the nixons (before changing their name to avoid confusion with the lacklustre american band) but renamed themselves after iggy pop and the stooges tremendous tv eye. they did scrape together the odd decent single and a popular album, but ultimately faded away in the late 90s.Discography

I would have to politely disagree – the band’s last “more visible” album from 2000 has a single that’s both bland and very middle-of-the-road, from an era of not-particularly-good US pop pump and “adult album alternative” music.
The band had been active since 1990, however, and their tracks Tick Tock, Dynamite, The Wheel, Down with a D, Basement Static and probably about four others are original and interesting tracks, or at least better than you remember.
They completed two US tours and opened for a few notable bands also.
