initially started as a method for releasing the recordings of joed out and feyodor (joed out’s ben barritt), and run by band-memberandrew maitai, the label took a step towards becoming a fully fledged independent in mid 2003 with the bands 2nd ep, which was mixed and mastered by finish producer (and soon to be powertools artist) mikeal h., and the release of popular compilation here come the bulletholes.
these releases, plus the kaleidoscope world series of live performances hastily converted into recorded compilations, saw the labels profile rise dramatically. in 2004 the label increased its roster with releases from hamilton weirdo ed gains, the ever-popular rob scott, the shrugs 2004 release and the debut of daisy chain halo.
