dodge is johannes contag – the german born, but new zealand-based multi-instrumentalist solo artists and founding member of both mink and cloudboy. after discovering synths at an early age, contag was a major part of the slacker pop of 1990s dunedin, taking up flute, melodica, bass and even accordian.
you are feeling sleepy is an extremely low-key and minimal ambient album, later reissued by the new monkey records, and built on contags’ intricate instrumental passages. contag toured europe with cloudboy in the early/mid 00s.
