Dana Eclair

wellington based pop-rock outfit named after the now-late actor known for playing ‘pete’ on macgyver, and who’s real-life battle with blindness was written into the script. comprised of saul clifford (guitar / vocals), mark dryburgh (bass / vocals), achilles botes (guitar/vocals) and andrew grayson (drums) they eventually morphed into ghostplane (with the departure of clifford, replaced by bassist ash hammer). the group put out two well received, but low-key ep’s and a contribution to the stickmen soundtrack in their original configuration. a slight country-inflection and good melodies, but nothing too memorable.
