Biography
Live music bar within the Tannery complex in Woolston, opened in 2015 after replacing Gustav’s Kitchen and Wine Bar. Adjoined to the Cassels and Sons Brewery, Blue Smoke is a mid-sized traditional bar with an all-wood interior and some outside seating.
It regularly holds live music events — taking over from The Brewery, which now functions mostly as a restaurant — and has hosted an eclectic mix of local and international acts. Notable early bookings included Fred and Toody Cole of legendary US underground group Dead Moon in December 2016.
