Biography
In 1995 The 3Ds guitarist and vocalist Dave Saunders got together with well-known drummer Alan Haig to record a 3-song single for Flying Nun Records under the name Spacious – all 3 songs were eventually re-recorded by The 3Ds for their final album ‘Strange News from the Angels‘.
The single versions sound a bit chuggier and one-dimensional compared to the final product – essentially giving off a bit of a demo vibe, particularly the slower track ‘Riding the Whale‘.
The 7″ came out during a period in the mid 1990’s when Flying Nun Records released quite a handful of one-off releases from side-projects of well-known bands.
