Biography
Two-piece Rock’N’Roll duo from Auckland. They were tremendous on A Low Hum‘s 2nd to last tour, with drummer Zoe Fleury belting it out (and singing too) from behind the kit while Maeve Munro played feedback-drenched guitar and sang from up front. Very cool.
Only releases were a split single with The Lover Haters and an appearance on A Low Hum‘s fanzine CDr series.
Zoe Fluery would go on to release music as Bionic Pixie, which gradually became Zowie, releasing a major label album and EP on Sony Music and getting to number 9 on the NZ charts with first single ‘Broken Machine’. Maeve Munro would eventually resurface in Auckland stoner rock / doom metal duo Faux Machismo with Anna Ridley, releasing an EP on Muzai Records in 2019.
