Auckland krautrock and psychedelic trio, active from 2015. Members Brendan Moran, Sonya Waters, and Stephen Reay released the Low Earth Orbit EP and the album Particle and Wave through Flying Nun Records.

Vor-stellen is a New Zealand trio featuring members of The Subliminals, avoid!avoid, and Faults, who released their debut vinyl Parallelograms on Flying Nun Records in 2023 before following up with Armature For A Painting on Feral Child Records in 2024.

Christchurch alt-rock trio active 1989–1998. Fronted by Simon Maclaren (vocals/guitar) with Angela “Floss” Leslie (bass) and Jason Young (drums). Released two Flying Nun albums — Cakehole (1995) and Showered in Gold (1997) — plus numerous EPs. Reunited in 2024; released Lost Demos 12″ on Acrid Plume Records in 2025.

Blissful psychedelic pop from Simon McLaren, known for his high-energy, explosive songs in Loves Ugly Children and The Subliminals, partnered with The Onedin Line’s Mark Anderson. The group have released 2 albums 13 years apart, with a live band consisting of well-known Auckland-based musicians.
