After Nocturnal Projections went their seperate ways in the early 80s, the two Jefferies brothers formed This Kind Of Punishment, a group that expanded their song-writing capabilities, and added variety to the Joy Division-styled approach of their former group.

A Handful Of Dust

One of Bruce Russell’s (Dead C) and Alastair Galbraith’s darkest outfits, often dealing with distinct imagery and motif’s in their music and especially pronounced in their liner notes (most of which are distributed through Russell’s Corpus Hermeticum label).

Formed by the duo in Dunedin in 1984, and primarily a free noise group. Though primarily a duo, Peter Stapleton had been a regular contributor from 1993 until his passing in March 2020.

Cobweb Iris

Cobweb Iris was a one-off 7″ Peter King lathe cut release recorded in the small seaside villages of Port Chalmers and Purakanui (both near Dunedin) in August-October 1993 by a who’s-who of New Zealand underground musicians – mainly Michael Morley and Bruce Russell of The Dead C along with Kim Pieters, Peter Stapleton and Danny Butt of Flies Inside the Sun and Alastair Galbraith, along with one-time Mink vocalist Margot Schweigman.
