Pan-Am

in 2002 flying nun released a scratchy self-produced little-past demo ep from a guy named paul barrett – a collection of poppy, upbeat and most importantly catchy pop numbers that barrett had written and performed on his own, with eventual member (and high school buddy) cole, assisting production.
later jarrod was added to fill out the line-up and the now complete panam line-up went about rerecording those songs and adding many more for their debut self-titled full-length. somewhere along the way panam lost a lot of spark – the energy and looseness of the original recordings totally undermined by a now suddenly average band performing a third-rate betchadupa impression.
