Damien Binder

Biography

Damien Binder is an Auckland-based singer-songwriter in the Greg Johnson mold with a couple of independently recorded and released albums under his belt.

Binder was previously the front-man for pop-grunge group Second Child.

Binder has had success through-out the 00’s, touring as support for Marianne Faithful and David Gray – eventually securing a SXSW slot in 2002.

His second album took a full 2 years to realize, and includes production work from Steve Garden, Bob Shepherd and Chris van De Geer, with additional backing vocals for Everything That Flies‘ Dianne Swann (now back in New Zealand with new band The Bads.
